What is the cost of refinancing a home loan?

Most home loans will have a discharge fee of around $350 (based on the big 4 banks) . Additional to the discharge fee will be government fees of $243 plus where the new has an application or settlement fee. With many lenders not necessarily charging an application fee the minimum refinancing cost becomes $593.
